After Party

After Party brings together a hundred French and Belgian nightclubs in front of the building, filmed in broad daylight. These nightclubs, still in operation, present themselves in a new light: neon and other sulphurous attributes of the night-time atmosphere are replaced by a more standard and less glittering reality.
They then become fairly neutral buildings in peri-urban or rural areas, in the middle of an industrial zone or sugar beet fields. As Cinderella returns to reality, these party places, idealized by many teenagers, become empty. Not without humour, and with a touch of nostalgia, the series also wants to pay tribute to the sometimes over-decorated designs and visual codes that these places claim. The project was rewarded in 2016 by the “Fidal Youth Photography Award” and received a 5000€ grant. The project will be published in book form in 2018.
