Censored ISSUE 08 – “Apocalypticotrashecocidocious”, the Censored 08 edition, speaks of ecology and anti-capitalist struggles, of living and humility

The research, texts and artistic productions lead to one conclusion: the urgent need to make a common front to leave the logics of hyperviolent exploitation towards the earth, species, women, gender minorities and racialized people. To politicize the relationship we have with our mutilated territories, whether urban or rural. To understand how capitalism has become a quasi-religious cult based on the dispossession of knowledge, the uprooting of emotions, anti-spirituality and individualism. It is then a question of joyful activism and refusal of fatality, of inter-species relations, of black spiritualities, of everyday ecology, of white trash culture and of possible futures.

How can we think about ecology when it is our own way of existence that parasites the living? What can we learn from marine mammals or invertebrate species? What arts, narratives and spiritualities to go beyond feminist dystopian imaginaries and generate action? How can we organize ourselves collectively while learning to stay in our place and without hierarchizing?
