Landscape #1 Institute For Land And Environmental Art is a new publication series edited by Johannes M. Hedinger and Hanna B. Hölling for the Institute for Land and Environmental Art (ILEA). It focuses on theory, history and new trends in the art of peripheral, rural and alpine landscapes. The book consists of three parts: the dossier includes a collection of text excerpts related to theoretical and historical reflection on landscape; the essay section presents writings, articles, interviews, and artistic contributions from the ILEA Institute’s network; and this catalog offers an overview of the outdoor biennial Art Safiental and the international summer school Alps Art Academy in 2016 and 2018.
