Tomorrow in Your Hands – Rory Pilgrim’s first book captures the many facets of their practice since 2008, bringing together sketchbooks, scores, song lyrics and poetry, exploring the links between activism, spirituality, music and community building behind and beyond our screens. It is published in conjunction with the exhibitions Where The Tide Takes Us, Kunstverein Braunschweig, Germany, and Radio Ballads, Serpentine Gallery, London.
Rory Pilgrim (Bristol, 1988) works in a wide range of media, including sound, music composition, film and video, performance, text and drawing. Her work, centered around emancipatory concerns, strongly influenced by the origins of activist, feminist and socially engaged art, and regularly developed in a collaborative mode, questions the way in which we form community and the possibilities for the exchange of personal experience.
