Exhibition : Bus Line Through the Cyber Window by Sergej Vutuc

The exhibition brings together two artists’ books by Sergej Vutuc, developed in co-production with Club del Prado: Bus Line Through the Cyber Window and Invisible Economy of the Gaze through the Fingers.

Both works originate from Super8 films structured through in-camera editing (tour de monde). They emerge primarily from public transportation, which functions simultaneously as apparatus and site of observation. The window operates as a frame within a frame, establishing relations between proximity and distance while recording fragmented temporal traces of everyday life.

The works unfold through intuitive sequences, where the gesture of the hand becomes an editing tool, a performative act, and a perceptual device.

Fragments of corporate language appear as interruptions — a low hum running throughout the dream, like subtitles in an opera mediating voices.

The project spans four cities — San Francisco, Buenos Aires, Berlin, and Shanghai — which initially appear distant and shaped by distinct economic and ideological regimes, yet are connected through shared mechanisms of the global spectacle.
