I eight my magazine

i eight my magazine is a yearbook magazine. It is a yearbook of 8 graduating students from Institut Français de la Miam, Master of Arts in Food Image. It is a parallel world, a metaphorical world of my current class, through which I show my critique, perspective, and experiences within the art direction / fashion image industry. Art direction is a field that is under-recognized, compared to the attention that the final results gain, especially looking at fashion. The media only focuses on the models, the creative director and the designs, but not chef who curated it all. Thus, I used food, a universally understood subject, to make metaphors and portray satirical views. The magazine also involves my personal experiences as a Korean living in France, touching upon loneliness and discrimination. In total there are 8 editorials from 8 different food students, including interactive pages where readers can make small packagings themselves and play memory games with stickers.
