In 2019, video artist and film director Emmanuelle Antille decided to make a film about the process of creation. It resembled a quest for worlds within this world – parallel, different spaces. This project and the proposal for a parallel cartography were inspired by many questions. How do we create a universe of our own? Created alongside the film and an exhibition, this book presents previously unpublished portfolios of the artists who took part in the featured exhibitions. Designed as a tool for research and discovery, and presenting exclusive documents, photographs, and behind-the-scenes footage, it serves as a record of this endeavour, recounting its history and ramifications.
