Agnès l'ogresse
Agnès l'ogresse
Agnes is a schoolteacher, and an ogress by trade. She has a problem: she
can't help but eat his students. No parent wants to trust him anymore
her offspring. Her class is empty, she is bored to death.
Until one day a little child gets lost in the forest and knocks on his door.
She picks him up. How thin he is! She could, of course, eat him all
right away. But Agnes is reasonable like mistresses are: she prefers
fatten her up, so she will have more to eat. Barnabas, for that is his name, becomes
his prisoner.
Fed on a stew of rabbit butts with garlic, the little boy is gaining weight despite
him, and the great day of the banquet arrives. Will he be devoured?
A crazy reinterpretation of Hansel and Gretel, under the hilarious pen of Benoît
Debecker.
