Collecting Graves is a publishing project that draws on the collection
photographic collection by André Chabot. Consisting of more than 250,000 photographs by
cemeteries, André Chabot draws up a funeral inventory photographed in more
from seventy countries since 1972. Both an artist's book and a catalogue,
Collecting Tombs offers a stroll through these funerary archives
atypical and little-known. The book is prefaced by Sylvain Besson, (museum
Nicéphore Niépce) and accompanied by an essay by Ambre Charpier on the future of
funeral.
