Contes d'Orient
Contes d'Orient
A collection of 10 tales from the Orient, featuring both humans and
animals, and peppered with incisive dialogues. Each of them is preceded by a
proverb which translates its spirit: "Our parents sowed so that we
let us eat. We sow that our children may eat. », « It is by trickery that we
brings the snake out of its nest." Each tale is presented on two double
pages, with illustrations playing on very strong color contrasts,
the manner of shadow theaters.
An elegant collection full of wisdom and mischief, from the pen of the storyteller Jihad
Darwiche.
