Daleside
Daleside
French photographer Cyprien Clément-Delmas and South African photographer Lindokuhle Sobekwa collaborated to create a portrait of Daleside , a small, isolated Afrikaner suburb southeast of Johannesburg. The two photographers met through Rubis Mécénat’s Of Soul and Joy program in Thokoza and became friends. The resulting images offer a counterpoint of yearning and distress—beyond the deeply rooted black/white binary, they depict the poverty that afflicts both black and white residents, forgotten members of society.
