DOUBLE ORBIT
DOUBLE ORBIT
Double Orbit invites us into a compact world of ambiguous signs, of passages
secrets and seemingly haunted places. Disconcerting cyphers emerge
periodically of a persistent twilight; an oversized key, a moon of
black concrete or the illusion of a limitless temple. The photographs of
Pujade-Lauraine focuses on the familiar and mundane details of
the urban environment, but when put together they read like a
Tarot card game - becoming open allegories, their meaning
being only awakened by their suit. Double Orbit presents a world
elusive and enigmatic, loaded with hidden meanings and
possibilities. Grégoire Pujade-Lauraine is a French photographer whose
work often addresses the representation of our built environment and the
situation of human consciousness within it. Double Orbit is its second
book published by MACK, after A Perpetual Season (2014).
