Hana
Seo Kyung-wu, a young math teacher, is appointed to a provincial college. He
is having a hard time with this change, especially since his fiancée is still in Seoul. At the time of
Signing the lease for his new apartment, Kyung-wu meets the man's wife
owner, Hana, who lives in the building where he is going to move in. They go
then realize that they were in high school together and quickly became attracted to each other
by the other. Hana's husband, a teacher at the same college as Kyung-wu, is a
jealous and angry man who mistreats his wife, until the day she
leaves. Stubbornly, he finds her and brings her back to their home. That night, Kyung-wu
hears noise, goes up to the couple's apartment and finds it empty, with
traces of blood on the ground. The husband was found in his car, injured in the head and
in a coma. Hana is arrested, tried, and then convicted of attempted murder.
After she leaves prison, she crosses paths with Kyung-wu again and, little by little,
needle, a romantic relationship develops between them, while the young man
just got married...
The latest graphic novel from the authors of Change of Season and Jin & Jin is
a new psychological drama, with detective tinges, in Korea
today. Jeong Yi-yong's elegant drawing is adorned with a palette of
soft and nuanced colors reflecting the emotions that run through the
protagonists of this beautiful dramatic story.
