Survival AbilityA Korean woman struggling with existential doubts in
Today's Korea, an ultraliberal society that leaves many
people in precarious situations. Yeong-jin, a young forty-something, teaches in a
private Protestant high school in Seoul. She faces social violence from
everywhere. Non-permanent, she feels obliged, in order to keep her position,
to accept everything her employer asks of her. Overwhelmed with work - she

have no recognition from his superiors. Her boyfriend works in a
association to help migrant workers who are exploited by
Korean farmers in conditions bordering on slavery. His mother
continues to do housework despite being of retirement age. And Yeong-jin
has just undergone a hysterectomy… The violence of liberal society affects her
more and more and leads him to ask himself questions about his relationship to work, about
his relationship with his parents and the future of his relationship. Superb portrait
