The Arab of the Future, a Youth in the Middle East (1978-2011) is a series of comic strip in six volumes, written and drawn by Riad Sattouf. Having sold over 3 million copies and translated into 23 languages, it tells the story of the childhood and adolescence of the author, the eldest son of a French mother and a Syrian father. The story takes us from Colonel Gaddafi's Libya to the Syria of Hafez Al-Assad passing through Brittany, from Rennes to Cap Fréhel. This second volume covers the years 1984-1985.
