The dead man's toy
The dead man's toy
Born in 1972 in Târgu Neamţ, Constantin Acosmei works as a librarian in
Iasi. Described as the "great silent man" by critics, he is the author of a
only collection, The Dead Man's Toy, a miserable and ironic gem, reissued and
enriched three times since its first publication in 1995: a “cult” book
» has become a landmark in contemporary Romanian literature; one of
minimalist profundis, all decadence and derision, and which touches in the
perfection of its decadence a spleen-like and mischievous string
extraordinarily singular.
