HELL ON EARTH - A DECADE OF RAP FICTION

From Chicago to Detroit to New Orleans, from Chief Keef to Earl
Sweatshirt, rap in the 2010s has often been monstrous and hellish, in the sense
first of these terms: he has never ceased to draw on the register of the fantastic,
science fiction or in the texture of religious writings. Between criticism
cultural and epic poem, this book is the work of two of the best
French specialists in American rap, known for their participation in the
cult podcast Shotguns. Under the influence of Gothic aesthetics and

presents dozens of essential artists from across the Atlantic, including many
are still little known in France.
