L'entaille
Antoine Maillard is a young author based in Toulouse. He holds a master's degree in
comic strip at the EESI of Angoulême and a DNSEP illustration at the Arts
decorative arts from Strasbourg, this fan of American horror fiction enjoys
create captivating atmospheres. In 2014, while still a student, he published these
first graphic stories in collective magazines (Citrus, Franky, etc.). The same
year, an art director at the New York Times noticed his work during
of a workshop. It is thanks to this project and during a workshop organized by the
major American newspaper that the director of the New York Times notices her
work. He would later illustrate several press articles for the famous
magazine. The drawings made during this workshop are then exhibited at the
Tomi Ungerer Museum in Strasbourg and then in the offices of the American magazine
the following year. Thanks to this stroke of luck and his talent, Antoine
Maillard is noticed by the French and international press and produces
illustrations for Télérama, XXI magazine and Le Parisien, The Atlantic and also
The New Yorker. In 2019, the young author was entrusted with the production of
the poster for the unmissable Colomiers Comic Strip Festival as well as an exhibition of
20 illustrations.
