\nAfter its first publication by Asahi Sonorama in 1976, “TALES of TONO” was reissued in different versions by Kobunsha in 2007, and by Tate Publishing in 2012. However, these were paperbacks, in pocket format, which I found somewhat unsatisfactory in terms of the enjoyment of the images. For this new reissued version, we have used a larger format and included 49 unpublished photographs that were not included in the first edition. – from Akio Nagasawa's afterword, bw and color photos.
