The urge of living
The urge of living
The Urge Of Living - Assembled as a sort of visual diary, "The Urge of Living" is the result of over ten years of working with archives and creating an emotional work from a mix of photographic memories captured over a period of over twenty years of documenting the skateboarding subculture as a professional skate photographer.

\nAnonymous skateboarders and teenagers, daily routines on the road, urban landscapes and sites, accidental encounters on the street, random partygoers, and a look at more intimate moments serve to construct an initiatory journey of a blossoming youth discovering the world as an adult.

\nNurtured by my personal experience as an active part of history and as a first-hand documentarian for many others, "The Urge of Living" is a book based on skateboarding, but it turns out to be much more than that. It is a story about youth, passion, friendship and love and the pages of this book certainly contain a description of a very intense period of my life and the bites of so many other lives that I have shared, even if it was only for a brief moment to take a photo for the sake of memory.
