Voici mon coeur Brise-le avec un marteau
Voici mon coeur Brise-le avec un marteau
Translated and published for the first time in France, the texts collected in this
collection come from a little-known musical and poetic repertoire. Originally from the
Beira Baixa in Portugal, this one perpetuates many legacies from the point of view
women, from the sound memory of the time of Al Andalus to that
peasant and subsistence cultures. Sung during daily work,
or processions of pagan inspiration and dedicated to female divinities,
These texts form a poetic practice as much as a political reflection of
women on their condition. This work was translated and coordinated by Céline
Costa (Portuguese-speaking singer and Adufe teacher), Mickaël Correia (journalist
and author) and Juliette Rousseau (author and editor).
