Dutch illustrator Lennard Kok presents a retrospective look at six years of personal and commissioned projects. Hailing from Utrecht, he takes a straightforward approach to his work, aiming to distil stories into their simplest form and stripping away unnecessary elements. This book is comprised of a selection of works that remain close to Kok’s heart. In hindsight, according to his brief introduction to the book, they were defining moments in shaping how he thinks and works as an artist. Personal anecdotes about individual illustrations and larger projects are scattered throughout the book.
