Realized by Mona Osman on the occasion of the project with the same title at the Maramotti Collection, this artist’s book is an essential part of Osman’s studio and reflection process about some biblical episodes and themes connected with existentialist philosophy. Conceived like a notebook and a sketchbook, the volume collects dozens of sheets written by the artist, drawings and quotes (from Simone de Beauvoir to Søren Kierkegaard,) highlighting the artist’s deep and long-lasting personal research and her will to raise questions – rather than offer answers – about the definition of an ideal Self.
