Through her co-founding of the magazine Parkett in 1984 and her curatorial work, Bice Curiger (b. 1948, Zurich) has been one of the central protagonists of the international art world since the 1980s.

This work biography illuminates the various stations and diverse activities of the Swiss curator, editor and author.

All of Curiger’s exhibitions, from Frauen sehen Frauen (Zurich, 1975) to the 2011 Venice Biennale, to her current work at the Fondation Vincent van Gogh in Arles, are documented, explained in depth, and commented on by contemporary witnesses.

Curiger’s career is situated in the development of contemporary art, the history of curating, and the internationalisation, globalisation, and institutionalisation of the art world.
