Da Gorizia alle Ande

Da Gorizia alle Andeis the first art book by Paolo Gasparini. As with his other works, Da Gorizia alle Andeis a confluence of images, graphics, crossing of poetic visions, a work of translation and typographic printing.

The text in two languages is divided between Italian for Tomada and Spanish for Verlezza. At times, Gasparini also intervenes, using both languages to create a three-way dialogue. The narrative is segmented into two clear parts in the center of the book, allowing for reading in both directions: blue and Italian for the “European part”, magenta and Spanish for the “Latin American part”. This division symbolizes the photographer’s two “worlds” and his comings and goings from one to the other: the Italian world of origin and return, and the South American world of residence, work and commitment.

The book contains a booklet in which all the original texts in Italian and Spanish are mutually translated, with the addition of the English translation.
