“English rave flyers from the 1990s are evidence of an iconic phenomenon in electronic music culture. There are countless of them, with all the more graphic styles, movements and graphics. I have chosen to examine 99 flyers from my personal collection, acquired on eBay by a London-based collector with the pseudonym thegyminstructor. This selection of printed matter, which I wanted to be heterogeneous, is differentiated by the different types of paper (weight, grain, etc.), the different types of printing (screen, quality, colours, etc.), the typographical and compositional choices and the choice of visuals (photographs, illustrations, logos, etc.).
