Fiasco : Le monorail

Fiasco – The Aerotrain, a real airplane on rails, propelled at more than 400 km/h, is one of these aborted projects, forgotten and ranked among the shipwrecks of France. Designed by Jean Bertin in 1962, all that remains today is a monolithic vestige of reinforced concrete, an 18 km long structure erected in the middle of the Beauce countryside: the monorail.
