On February 9, 2020 in Mexico City, Ingrid E.V, 25 years old, was murdered by her partner. Dramatized images of the feminicide committed by Erik Francisco Robledo Rosas, realized on the scene of the crime by the authorities made the joy of the Mexican tabloids which did not hesitate to diffuse in first page the cut up body of the young woman. The opportunism of the tabloid press and police corruption have sparked widespread outrage. In reaction, following the invitation of a tweet to make disappear from the flow of social networks these macabre images, Internet users around the world have massively posted under the hashtag #IngridEscamillaVargas photographs of peaceful lakes, sunsets or fields of flowers. Sensitive to this participatory gesture, Zoé Aubry, who since 2017 has been pursuing her work on the systemic and structural murders that are feminicides and the problematic of their media representation, has imagined a work that pays tribute to the memory of Ingrid Escamilla Vargas, denounces violence against women and castigates the voyeurism of a certain press.
