Inside The Bum

Inside the Bum is a book by Frank and Tyrone Lebon. This limited edition photo book documents the making of Harmony Korine’s new film The Beach Bum, starring Matthew McConaughey, Jonah Hill, Isla Fisher, Snoop Dogg and Zac Efron. In October 2017, the Lebon brothers, Frank and Tyrone, were invited onto the set of Harmony Korine’s latest film for six weeks. Free to roam the set as they pleased, the Lebons were given unlimited access and privileged insight into Korine’s filmmaking process – a longtime source of inspiration for both brothers. Korine’s colorful set provided an abundant stream of wild and wacky scenarios to document, from naked hobos destroying Miami mansions to Moondog, McConaughey setting boats on fire and dancing in foil underwear… The book is a compilation of photographs, video footage, diary entries, call sheets, and Florida tourist props, all collected in a kind of scrapbook; one part is devoted to documentary photography on set, the other is presented as a diary resembling thoughts, questions and anecdotes from the film.
