Isle of Eigg is a photographic book that reflects the feelings of Charles Delcourt. Supported by the inhabitants and particularly by Camille Dressler, historian and author of the text, this work becomes in a way the passport of the islanders towards the continent.
When he landed on Eigg in 2015, Charles Delcourt felt a kind of love at first sight, like a call. Both for the magnificent landscapes of this Scottish island but also and especially for the way of life, rough and committed that develop the inhabitants who became owners of their island in 1997. During his regular stays on the spot, he discovered and documented their way of being, along with an original energy model. The island of Eigg is now completely self-sufficient thanks to sustainable resources (hydroelectric, wind and solar).
