Paris, September 20, 2019, several collectives and independents – film lovers, filmmakers, professionals and artists from cultural squats, students, local residents – come together within the association Home Cinema and decide to illegally occupy the cinema La Clef in a citizen and disinterested manner. The edition proposes a reading of this adventure by two graphic designers and authors whose careers are linked to the occupation of La Clef. A singular book-object of large dimensions which proposes an immersive journey in the heart of a collective experience and the fight for the survival of the last associative cinema in Paris.
Vivien Le Jeune Durhin and Antonin Faurel, two artists close to the occupation, worked several months to create a book about the adventure of La Clef. The result is as good as their talent: 164 pages, silk-screened cover, hundreds of photos and an original text. The book is published by Éditions Autonomes, an independent publishing house.
