La Source

La Source is a brain in which each zone is the seat of physical and emotional impulses. This book, reflecting the exhibition curated by Chiara Parisi for Villa Carmignac on the island of Porquerolles, offers a point of entry for the curious who, like Alice in Wonderland, want to explore the labyrinth of their fantasies and their inner emotions.

La Source is a literary space, a place of dialogue between the artists and Chiara Parisi. More than forty texts have been written or collected specifically as an intimately considered reponse to the question: where is the source?

At the heart of the book, a set of original poems by Roy Lichtenstein, written in 1949, allows us to discover an unknown facet of this essential artist of the Carmignac Collection.
