L’Arabe du futur, une jeunesse au Moyen-Orient (1978-2011) is a comic book series in six volumes, written and drawn by Riad Sattouf. With more than 3 million copies sold and translated into 23 languages, it recounts the childhood and adolescence of the author, the eldest son of a French mother and a Syrian father. The story takes us from Colonel Gaddafi’s Libya to Hafez Al-Assad’s Syria, passing through Brittany, from Rennes to Cape Fréhel.
