Les estampes de Paul Klee – 5 Continents Editions, in collaboration with MoMA New York, presents the first edition in French of The Prints of Paul Klee.
The new edition, which faithfully reproduces the one published in 1947 by MoMA, both in form and content, offers 40 essential prints by Paul Klee (1879-1940), accompanied by an essay by James Thrall Soby (1906-1979). An introduction by Christopher Cherix updates this publication, which was conceived as an elegant limited edition portfolio consisting of a series of individual plates of Klee’s works. This book is a model of its kind for the exceptional quality of the 40 reproductions of prints from the MoMA collection, one of the most important in the world. Paul Klee’s Prints allows us to discover a lesser-known part of the work of the artist who marked the history of twentieth-century art and to rediscover the variety of his works.
