Life is not always rosy in a housing estate in the 93 region.

The Forbidden Projects of 93 takes us to Seine-Saint-Denis. From maid’s rooms to apartments shared with other Chinese immigrants, Kei and her parents finally cross the border and become owners of a three-room apartment in Bagnolet. Kei is then confronted with a new world, that of the suburbs, just as she enters high school and, consequently, adolescence.
Once again, Kei gives voice to the invisible and explores the daily life, dreams and ambitions of these children of immigrants who grew up in the suburbs. In parallel, she is interested in the large housing estates and more particularly in the district of La Noue, where her family lived in Bagnolet.
