Chairs Collection of Thierry Barbier-Mueller

The private chair collection of Thierry Barbier-Mueller is one of the world’s largest. Initiated in the 1990s, it has grown over time without any thought for cohesiveness, focusing on everything creative and innovative around the same object. Big names in design are found next to little-known creators and the objects itself often elude their primary purpose of seating. The result, L’esprit de la chaises is a visual feast and a source of inspiration even for those who think they have seen it all.

This collection of more than 600 chairs is exhibition at the Mudac Lausanne from October 2022 to February 2023.
