Plates

Plates – A visual and experimental investigation of the architectural potential of the horizontal surface in building processes, in the form of a folded manifesto, drawings, images and texts by Jan Kinsbergen, Neven Kostic and David Klemmer. After studying architecture at ETH Zurich, Jan Kinsbergen graduated under Hans Kollhoff. In 1993, he moved to New York, where he worked in Steven Holl’s architectural practice until 1999. He then set up his own architectural practice, also in New York. During this period, Jan Kinsbergen teaches architecture at Columbia University GSAPP in New York. Between 2002 and 2008, he worked at ETH Zurich. Since 2002, he has headed Jan Kinsbergen Architekt Ltd. in Zurich.
