Warm Regards – Axel Auréjac is a French photographer born in 1995 who graduated with a Master’s degree from the Institut Français de la Mode in 2018. Since then, he has constantly added to his body of work, including being shortlisted for the Prix Picto for fashion photography in 2020, and for the Hyères Festival in 2022. Self-taught, he fuses fashion aesthetics with documentary photography. His work oscillates between these two worlds, focusing on an often invisible beauty of the everyday, characterised by its play of colours and textures.
His third book, Warm Regards, is a veritable diary, an ode to travel. This large-scale project links 17 countries (Albania, Belgium, Croatia, Ecuador, France, Ghana, Iceland, Indonesia, Jordan, Morocco, Oman, Romania, Senegal, Tanzania, Thailand, Togo and the USA) where the banality of reality is transformed into a solar and poetic universe. He immerses himself in a deliberate wandering, where his artistic affinities focus on details that are often camouflaged in everyday life. Warm Regards is also a bit like that last email you send out, bringing to a close a period of hard work and leaving room for a stroll, a moment of intimacy. This precious disconnection is celebrated in this book as an invitation to an unpretentious elsewhere, where boundaries blur and intermingle.
