William Softkey and the Purple Spider – William Softkey and the Purple Spider – Buried deep beneath the sand is a library the size of a small town, owned by the sinister and powerful Mr. Wish and protected by roving bands of tough guys and deadly vehicles. When a small but heavy interdimensional spider demands access to the vault, poor William Softkey, with the help of the Gigglewindow sisters of the Gravity Experimenter, is hired to fix the problem. In the artist’s characteristically clean line, set against a backdrop of paranoid techno-fantasy, strange iconic beings, and halftone motifs, William Softkey and the Purple Spider is the CF cartoonist’s second dreamlike tale, published under the Anthology publishing banner. ⠀ .
