Aquifer

Aquifer - Aquifer is an edition born from our research carried out last summer in the Baronnies valley (Drôme Provençale), where we went to meet water diviners, people who are attributed with know-how, a gift of dowsing to feel and find water. For a month, we were able to photograph their practice, collect their stories as well as those of other inhabitants of the valley who have a strong connection with the aquatic resource and its issues: farmers, breeders, hydrogeologists, drillers, local elected officials, etc. \nIt is through this research around dowsing, symbolic of a sensitive and rural know-how, that we wish to question the use, exploitation and sharing of water, a vital resource in high tension, and the ecological and political issues that arise from it.
