Art history last night
Art history last night
Art history often seems to be an interpretation of events that follow one another nicely and chronologically, with appropriate explanations and reasons for each step along the way. A met B. B painted C to create D. D was collected by E, who put D in touch with F, who exhibited it at the Gokumenta in Hassel in 1970-J.

\nBy making artists verbs, nouns, or characters, this story offers another way of understanding art history. What if art history were not a series of dry facts, but instead went out last night and got terribly drunk?

\n Art History Last Night was originally written for the exhibition Confetti at Small Projects in Tromsø, Norway in 2013, and turned into a booklet in 2018.
