Artists at 5

Artists at 5 aims to take a look at artists before they take awareness of their future, taking into account the innocence of childhood and the Ryan Gander's concerns about understanding time, divergent historical potentials, para-possible futures and the privilege of hindsight and retrospection. Presented chronologically, accompanied by a date and a shooting location, it traces the history of amateur photography on all continents. From the beginning of the 20th century to the artists of the most recent generation whose photographs were taken at the beginning of the 21st century, the book also shows the advances in technology and attitudes towards the camera.
