Campo di Marte

Campo di Marte was conceived in March 2020, at a time when Nathalie Du Pasquier was not did not paint. After cutting out photos of paintings made between the 1980s and 2020s, the artist then placed them in a sequence like if it were a series of fonts, focusing only on their formal qualities and on the possibility of interpretation offered by their assembly. The result is a magical game, a surrealism daily life where the images constitute a kind of sentences, interspersed with various elements taken from the world of books: titles, poems or simple calculations, era when the artist was lost for words.
