Cinefils
My parents always showed movies at home. Rarely movies
authors or avant-garde, rather popular cinema, French or American.
Above all, my parents often watched – really often – the films they
loved. I continued to watch movies. Cinema became a language
common with my colleagues in comics and publishing;
with the public also during the meetings. from 2020 and its lockdowns, the
movies have never been so much a part of my life. in notebooks, I draw
daily plans of the films seen each week. according to my screenings,
viewing at home or in theaters, discussions, research. cinema
continues to teach me how to live, and how to draw. I consider myself the
cinema-son of the films I grew up with. love of cinema, stories
and drawing, I wanted to devote this book to it where I reproduced as is, the
pages of these notebooks. or more than 150 films, mainly American cinema
classic and popular (from 1950 to 2000). I wish this book could even
be read like a comic strip, with its vignettes, its ellipses. a novel
family cinema graphic. I want to go from son to father, and become with this
