Collective Study, Enquiry #5 - Collective Study is published as a result of Enquiry #5, Goldwin 0’s fifth in an ongoing series, led by OK-RM. This publication brings together an ecosystem of participants, including Lila Matsumoto, Karl Nawrot, and Nur Abbas, to formalize new structures for working together. Within these structures, no art form is placed above another, each discipline and practice coexists within the space of the residency: a space for experimentation; an opportunity to develop prototypes and explore new forms of practice. \n \nPoetry serves as a scaffold for the flow of images, allowing for a deeper analysis—a study—of the compositional elements that are revealed in the volume. Sequenced in 384 color plates and accompanied by an essay summarizing the fundamental concepts of collective study, this publication is an introduction to a new form of collective practice. The essay is included in the book's jacket, published in English and Japanese and illustrated with multiple views of the residency processes. \n \nCollective study is nothing less than a utopian project. By taking part in collective study, we create a proposal for a way of being and living that we would like.
