Like a stone
Like a stone
Cristovao and his wife live in the northeast of Brazil. Their daughter Rosa is
handicapped from birth. They draw their meager resources from the farm that
Cristo tries to maintain despite the lack of water. The cruel lack of water. 300
days without rain. Then 365. 420... It seems that God has decided to deprive
water the inhabitants of this poor region of Brazil. The animals are dying. The
birds fall from the sky, scorched by a relentless sun. If the lack of
rain looks like a biblical curse, may require a sacrifice
for the holy water to return to the northeast of Brazil... Luckas Iohanathan
reconnects with an entire Brazilian literary tradition to take us on a journey
a story with fantastic resonances carried by an always accurate drawing.
