A book to approach differently what is taught and learned in school
higher education in art and design. \n \nHow do you become a creator? For
To enrich the view and escape from the inner circle, it was essential to add
outside words that are familiar with the world of higher education
of art and design (for having come from there, having taught there and/or having them
directed). Marc Partouche returns to the genealogy of art schools and their
genesis, in reaction to a form of artistic education that had become sclerotic in the 19th century
century and highlights the importance of artists in the development
alternatives. Arnaud Labelle-Rojoux reminds us that art and design schools
are places of production where technology plays a fundamental role, provided
that it remains linked to experimentation and critical reflection. Matali
Crasset opens up to us the backstage and premises of his becoming a designer,
rural childhood at ENSCI-les ateliers via Berlin and Vienna.
Interviewed by Anaël Pigeat, Ange Leccia looks back on his career, from the first
years in Corsica at the Pavillon du Palais de Tokyo, meetings with
intercessors, before becoming one himself. \nMaybe one becomes a creator /
creative, when one cannot be satisfied with the world as it is, in
the irrepressible desire to see other forms appear. Perhaps we
becomes creator / creator to question the imperative "Because
" of art, and of all forms of creation, as shown by the works of
DNSEP graduates (MASTER) in the last chapter.
