Communication, space, image
Visual communication is now a fundamental part of our
daily experience. Posters on the street, advertising campaigns,
images that circulate between new media and traditional media
fuel our imaginations, our values and our actions.
Semiologist Giorgia Aiello offers us an engaged reading of the images in
which we are immersed in day by day. The texts which are brought together
in this work from the Petite Collection d'ArTec aim to complicate our
vision and understanding of the semiotic landscapes that populate our spaces
urban. Through the analysis of different examples, from Starbucks to Getty
Images, from Magnum Photo to Manifattura Tabacchi in Bologna, the author offers us
a critical approach to contemporary globalist aesthetics.
