Conversations (Volume 1)

This book brings together 79 conversations with artists, writers, architects, musicians, philosophers, photographers, designers, scientists and filmmakers, led since the early 1990s by Hans Ulrich Obrist. Following the encyclopedic model of the interview designed as a fruitful exchange of ideas, these conversations draw a landscape of trajectories, of thoughts, projects, facts and stories that produce an unpublished story of art and culture at the turn of the 20th and 21st centuries. At the end of the book, an index allows cross-navigation and a extensive bibliography provides avenues for further research. Conversations received the Special Mention of the 2008 Artcurial Prize.
