Design Monograph: Perriand
Design Monograph: Perriand
This series of monographs on architects, designers, brands and
the most notable design movements of the 20th and 21st centuries includes
a historical and critical essay on the life and work of the subject, followed by a
illustrated appreciation of his innovative work. The architect and designer
French Charlotte Perriand not only created buildings such as the
League of Nations in Geneva and ski resorts, but it is also
the origin of iconic tubular steel furniture pieces, such as
the Nuage shelf, the Grand Confort chair (while she worked for Le
Corbusier), the B301 armchair and the ponyskin chaise longue.
